mblong Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue?
Here are some workarounds since nobody wants to change the password on dozens of other devices (my home network has about 60 devices).
(1) many home routers can create more than one network (a second one that is often called a "guest network" so the guests to your home has access to the internet, but not the other computers and devices). Although not 100% convenient, since you have to switch the network of your tablet, it might be sufficient for you. Check the document that came with your home router -- for eero, for example, enter Settings and select Guest Network to set up the SSID and password.
(2) you could connect the ASIAIR with Ethernet to a LAN port your home router or mesh node. It will auto connect, and no password is needed.
(3) connect the ASIAIR through Ethernet to a WiFi extender (again no password) -- pretty much all WiFi extenders conform to WiFI standards, and allow themselves to be connected to your home network using passwords that have spaces.
This is not the only instance where ZWO does not follow published standards.
