I asked this question of Support but thought I would ask here while waiting for a reply.
The ASI183MC Pro is a 12-bit color camera. What format are the bytes in when using the following function in the SDK?
ASICAMERA_API ASI_ERROR_CODE ASIGetDataAfterExp(int iCameraID, unsigned char* pBuffer, long lBuffSize);
The SDK defines
typedef enum ASI_IMG_TYPE{ //Supported Video Format
ASI_IMG_RAW8 = 0,
ASI_IMG_RGB24,
ASI_IMG_RAW16,
ASI_IMG_Y8,
ASI_IMG_END = -1
}ASI_IMG_TYPE;
but the comment indicates these are Video formats. What is the type of data for the snapshots? All of the video formats are 8-bit formats. How do I get my 12-bit color?
Thanks!
Things are looking up, or, Clear skies,
