@starvoyager I have PixInsight and I use all depending on the stage of processing. so I have my Bias at 0.000032 and Dark with 300sec exposures. after capturing lights, in the morning I do Flats using T-shirt method using auto exposure setting, then I capture darks to support creating DARK FLATS at the same exposure as what auto determined, which can be anywhere from 16.7ms to 2.0sec from what I've experienced so far.
The minimum for Bias is 0.000032us - but a nice little trick if you forget.. put in 0.000000000001 as the exposure and you'll get a pop-up telling you what the actual camera's minimum exposure is.
for OSC processing via PixInsight - I found the best YouTube walkthrough is from AstroAddict, 5 part series step by step with explanations. There's also a video from James Lamb out on YouTube that is very good on using darks/bias vs dark flats. but in summary, it didn't have any visible effect, but he recommended the dark flats as it has better potential.
