oliveraplin the air disconnects from a CEM40 (newer model) after a meridian flip.
If the ASIAIR (I presume that is what "air" refers to) disconnects from the mount, but maintains connection to the tablet, a very common reason is an instantaneous disconnect of the devices.
If your ASIAIR is mounted on the OTA (not a good idea since USB connectors are not spec'ed to be moving; they are meant to sit on a stationary desk or rack), you will need to strain relieve the cables so that there is zero movement of the connector as the OTA moves.
See post #322 of this thread on the ASIAIR forum for some methods I have used to strain relieve the USB cables to my cameras.

Do this to both ends of the USB cable that runs between your mount and the ASIAIR. Additionally, make sure the power to your mount is equally secured. The power to the ASIAIR is probably OK, since you did not complain about the ASIAIR disconnecting from the tablet. But it does not hurt to clean up all the connectors while you are at it.
Watch your mount do a typical meridian flip. You might notice that at some point during the flip, the connectors would be pointed where the gravity of the cable exerts maximum force to "pull" the cable out (and this is what you need to relieve). This can happen on any mount slew also, but a meridian flip tends to go through all sorts of weird orientation -- thus a big red flag when a disconnect happens during a meridian flip.
