Menion also have an integrated hub and it does not work reliable
I wonder if iOptron is using a powered hub chipset. Some USB interface chips and implementation will back-power the USB port and the Raspberry Pi does not like it. I have some USB 3 powered hubs that would not even let the ASIAIR boot successfully, and some that flakes out sometime during the night. It took me many tests to find a powered hub that worked.
If you have an unpowered USB 3.1 hub sitting around, try placing it between your mount and the ASIAIR to isolate their power, and see if the ASIAIR behaves better. If it works, there are some small unpowered USB hubs which are very small and lightweight, and adds practically no payload to the mount/tripod.
