I using the ASI 1600mm with an HA filter and APT as the acquisition software. When taking images of the moon and trying to stack them in RegiStack, RegiStack fails to process them with an Out of Memory issue. I downloaded the latest version of RegiStack and installed it but still had no love. When using my SBIG STF8300 on the moon, with the same parameters, it was able to process over 100 images in RegiStacks' stacking process without any issues. With the ASI 1600mm even 3 images produce an out of memory error. File size of the STF8300 is 16583 the ASI 1600mm file size is 31018. System is Win 10 Pro 32 GB memory, 64 bit OS on Dell XPS 15-7590 with Intel Core i9 with 9th Gen.
I'm sure other people with the ASI 1600mm have taken images of the moon so what am I doing incorrectly. The Gain is set to the Lowest Read Noise setting
"If you preferred shorter exposures with the lowest possible read noise, for narrow band imaging and play “lucky imaging” techniques, or because of mount tracking limitations, we recommend the Lowest Read Noise setting."
