I have four ZWO ASI cameras in my remote observatory.
An ASI120mini with C-mount lens to control telescope position.
Two ASI120mini on both OAGs and one ASI1600cool as one of the main cameras for astrophotography. If I want to select one of the guiding cameras and the main camera in Maxim-DL, I only get two. In the Ascom driver you can only choose between 2 cameras although all four are connected. Is there a way that I can choose between four cameras and for example three are in operation at the same time? I do not want to switch to other cameras because of that.
Yes, we can modify our ASCOM driver to support more cameras, but there is a problem of the applications.
Like MaxIm DL, most of the applications do not support to use the 3+ cameras at the same time. That's the reasom why we did not program the ASCOM driver to support more cameras.
So I think a better way to use the 3+ cameras is native driver. If you can use the native driver to connect the cameras, you can visist all of them at the same time.
