Newbie with ISA1600MC-cool
Newbie with ISA1600MC-cool
Hi ZWO Users, I'm taking up astrophotography after 20 year break to raise a family here in UK.
I have Celestron CGE 1400HD Pro in observatory and the camera is ZWO ISA1600MC-cooled. My laptop is Windows Vista and SharpCap and FireCap came with the camera for Planetary capture.
What is best SW for Planetary stacking/processing ?
What is best SW for DSO capture then stacking/processing ?
My scope is F11. How many frames and at what exposure time should I start for :-
- PLANETARY
- DSO e.g. M51

Re: Newbie with ISA1600MC-cool
for planetary imaging, you can use SharpCap or Firecapture
for Dso imaging, you can use SGP or Maxim-dl, nebulosity
more frames better for any target

many thanks Sam, I am now onto Nebulosity and it works on Mac!, which I would prefer.
do you use Nebulosity ? it says it works for DSO, could I use it for planetary ?

Re: Newbie with ISA1600MC-cool
nebulosity cannot be used for planetary imaging
