ASI533MC Pro camera - debayer settings?

Post by msfa » Wed Jan 08, 2020 4:43 pm

I'm absolutely loving using my new ASI533 MC Pro color camera with the ASIAir - the system makes capturing images so easy! Now I am starting to process my images and - using Nebulosity 4 on a Mac - I am stumped by what debayering settings I should use for the 533. Does anyone know? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I don't know exactly but with the 183MCPro I used the setting you can see in the screenshot.

Good luck

You can use PIPP which allows you to specify Bayer pattern used by the sensor. Had similar problem with Nebulosity which did not debayer correctly frames from one of new color cameras. GRGB in PIPP did the job.

ZWO generally specifies the bayer pattern in the 'Specification' tab of the particular camera. In your case, see https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/pr ... -pro-color , tab 'Specification':

Bayer Pattern: RGGB
