EAF Standard Bolts Too Short for Explore Scientific APO EDT Series Rack & Pinion Focuser
I purchased an EAF Standard yesterday at my local camera/telescope store! I was so excited to get it installed; however, the M4 bolts on my focuser are recessed and all of the bolts that come with the EAF are the same length as what's already in the focuser. I went to a hardware store and purchased 4 different length M4s. I will try them out tonight to see which length works best.

I ended up using M4 x 25 and two washers: an original washer from the focuser and one washer from the EAF kit. Everything is working great now!

I have a similar problem with my AT65EDQ. The bolts are too short but I am confident I can buy longer ones. However I am curious as to what you did to get around the tension bolt for the drawtube. The supplied bracket doesn't accommodate that bolt.

I wonder the same thing about the tension bolt. I guess the tension bolt doesn't serve any purpose when you have a motorized focuser so you can just unscrew it and leave it out.
