EAF for Celestron C8

Post by JSCIVALLY » Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:14 pm

Hello, I would like to know if there will be an EAF for a Celeston C8 with a Starlight instruments focuser, I have talked to Starlight and they don't think their box for their motor focuser is compatible with your ASI AIR. Thank you. Jim

Which focuser do you refer?
Could you give us a picture of lower part of the focuser?

Hello, thank you for the quick reply, the model number is Starlight Instruments FTM-CPC8. I did not have any luck loading a picture.

Hello, I talked to Wayne at Starlight Instruments and this is response. Please advise. Thank you

Jim if there hub/control box will control a bi-polar motor then my HSM motor SHOULD work. My HSM motors use a standard Ethernet cable. If their controller will only control a uni-polar motor, my MSM motor SHOULD work as it is a uni-polar motor and uses a 6 pin cable.

Hi,

a bracket for SCTs? That's great news!
Will the bracket fit onto the focuser
shown in the attachment?

When will it be available? Today? Tomorrow? ;-)

Best regards

Markus
