These look great.

Any plans for a pro version of the 1600, Sam? I would be interested in a pro mono camera.

Hopefully there will be an Upgrade Path, or at least a Trade-Up Plan. So many of us are hoping that the ASI1600 can be upgraded to have the DDR Buffer.

Are there any plans to do a 178 pro?

Dear Sam,

Hi - I see the Pro models are available on your web site now - can you give me an idea of when you'll get some to your distributors (I would go to Astronomy 365).

Thank you,

Colin

no, as 178 is only 5M pixels and don't need such buffer

Dear Sam,

I was hoping that with the buffer there would be no amp glow, and with a generally low dark current, I could get away with not having dark frames - is that not the case?
