USB3.0 connection problem with ASI183mm

Post by Goaty » Mon Dec 02, 2019 12:49 am

Currently I'm using ASI183mm with Armbian on my mini PC, NanoPi M4.
When I try to use the camera with that pc, my pc doesn't recognize the camera as USB3 device but USB2.
I can check the data transfer speed with "lsusb -t" and I know if the connection is USB3 or USB2.
Then, once I unplug the cable and plug it to the PC again, the camera is recognized as USB3 and the data transfer speed becomes much higher(USB3.0).
I need to get USB3's fast data transfer as soon as the board gets booted, without unplugging cables since now it's not that easy to access to the board and cable.

I tried usb reset command like
echo -n "1-2.1" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/unbind
but this doesn't change anything

I suppose somehow I can get USB3 connection at booting.
Hope anyone knows about this issue
Thank you

Sorry we do not know how, you may need to have more try with the mini PC.

Well, what I think is strange is that the camera can be recognized after unplug from the PC and even if I reboot it, it still remains as USB3.0 .
There should be a way to solve this problem....
