Hello,

maybe the problem could come from the netbook screen resolution. It's only 1024*768 and maybe it's too small resolution.

I only want to make tests with Linux in order to know what works and what don't.

The main purpose is to use a Raspberry Pi in order to control the camera and maybe an altaz mount to make EAA with a lens (large field realtime observations). The raspberry will be controlled with a distant PC.

ASIAir would have been nice but no control software on PC. That's too bad.

I hope you will provide ASICAP for Raspberry soon.

Hi,Alain
I see your point, but ASICAP can't run on Raspberry for now, because of different CPU Architecture.
We are trying to make ASICAP work on Raspberry. Can you leave your email address? If we make it, we will let you know.

Hello Hurely,

i know ASICAP is not yet ready for Raspberry.

For now, i just want to test ASICAP under Linux UBUNTU Mate 18.04.1 32 bits on my netbookto see how it works and to test some remote control with VNC from an other laptop.

So, it would be nice if i anderstand why ASICAP Linux 32 bits does not start at all (no error message) on my netbook.

Hi, Alain
We tested ASICAP on UBUNTU Mate 18.04.1 32 bits, I have the same problem you said.
The reason is that UBUNTU Mate put libpng12.so.0 in /snap/core/4914/lib/i386-linux-gnu, so ASICAP can't find this lib.
Please try the following two commands in Terminal:
First: sudo cp /snap/core/4914/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libpng12.so.0.54.0 /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu

Then: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libpng12.so.0.54.0 /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libpng12.so.0

If don't work, Please contact me. e-mail: lei.zhang@zwoptical.com
