Re: oacapture 1.1.0 released

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I see you're running Sierra, but is it updated to release 5 or are you using an earlier update?

Re: oacapture 1.1.0 released

I've added an issue for this here:https://github.com/openastroproject/ope ... issues/117

I'll see if I can work out what is going on. It may be something specific to the Neximage 5. I'm sure I tested the Neximage Burst. Which release(s) of OSX are you using?

oacapture 1.1.0 released

It's been a long time coming thanks to lots of other stuff going on in my life, but oacapture v1.1.0 is now available. For OSX users I'm hoping this will fix a few niggles with El Capitan and Sierra. For Linux users the most obvious change will be that on Fedora and Ubuntu/Mint the binaries can now ...

Hopefully I should be able to release v1.1.0 very shortly. It's been a long time coming :(

I'll answer your email as soon as I can. I was out at a swimming competition over the weekend, so I'm still catching up with things.

Re: Running on Linux without Root

This is the udev rules file that will be in the next release. I believe this should cover all the cameras, but I've not really got started with testing yet... Re: ASI20MM on Mac and/or virtual machine: SOLVED

I've only just seen this thread. In oacapture 0.9.0 there are still a few outstanding USB issues on OSX. I have a test build of the next release on OSX available using the a very recent development version of libusb if anyone would like to try it. Just drop me a pm and I'll give you a download link....

oaCapture 0.0.6 released

Another month, another new release. This time for Linux *and* OSX :) There are some bugfixes for handling of cameras in this release. These mainly relate to exposure times, but there are small improvements for all of the supported cameras. The major changes however are restructuring the code to inte...

Linux oaCapture 0.0.5 beta releaes

Well, I’ve done as much testing as I can face, if not as much as I’d like to have done. Managing 50-ish virtual machines and a couple of desktops booting into five different OS releases has got the better of me though and I just want this one out of the door now despite the trepidation that always g...

Re: Trouble with Fucus

If you added a crayford, this lengthens the optics/sensor distance, and the focusing may not be achieved any more. This doesn't work quite the same with an SCT or Mak. As Piotr alludes to in an earlier post, SCTs focus by moving the focal plane to meet the eyepiece or camera whereas newts and refra...
