Re: Cameras using TDI integration mode

still it's very limited - you need to align the camera, and then catch a lot of signal on the pixels and manually repeat. It was available for Kodak sensors with 20x20um pixels but now with 2-4um pixels it becomes pretty much pointless. The resolution with big aperture will be to big and image quali...

Re: Cameras using TDI integration mode

What do you need it for? Some very big pixel old Sbig cameras supported that mode.

Re: New Sony sensor - IMX428

They shouldn't be expensive too. IMX287 is quite cheap in PGR Blackfly S camera.

Re: New Sony sensor - IMX428

IMX287 could be handy for very slow planetary telescopes and OAG guiding. 9.0um IMX426/433 and 425/432 would be a more extreme version of that. Both could also be used in EAA/live observations.

Re: New Sony sensor - IMX428

Sony did release few global shutter sensors recently, even with 9um pixels.

Re: H beta filter

H-beta is a visual filter. There is no reasons to use it for imaging - this shorter wavelength is affected by moonlight and seeing more than H-alpha wavelength, plus the H-alpha emission is much stronger than H-beta (not to mention that some nebulae are actually emitting more [N-II] light than hydro...

Re: Tip-tilt adaptive optics needed

For DS imaging or do you want one for Solar System imaging? I'm afraid that patents and general knowledge of companies doing AO maybe something that will make it really hard for others to overcome. Orion had some AO but right now it looks like they dropped those products, while SBIG or SX systems st...
