Re: ioptron ieq 30 pro connection problem

When I look at the section TELESCOPE in the Asiair, I see an ioptron IEQ30. When I choose it it allows me to choose Serial connection or Wifi

Do you see that also. Can you post a screenshot of your choices for the ioptron mounts as I see multiple choices.

Re: Where is a list of supported cameras?

As per info from ZWO: The ASIair will work with all ZWO Pro, Cooled, USB 3.0 and Mini cameras. The standard USB2.0 ASI 120 cameras are not compatible with this device. We recommend that you look into the ASI 120 Mini as an alternative guider or the ASI 120 Superspeed cameras for planetary imaging. H...

Re: ioptron ieq 30 pro connection problem

"It does not appear in the drop-down menu- only Meade mounts show up there."................

My Skywatcher Synscan appears in the drop down, are you sure you are sliding the slider all the way down far enough, or does the drop down menu STOP with Meade as the only choices?

Re: ASIAIR not connecting to skywatcher sycscan

One other thing, in the Asiair app, under Telescope settings, you did choose Skywatcher Synscan and if you look, there is a flip switch like on iPhones to turn on for example Wifi, Bluetooth etc. asiair also has a flip switch. Can you describe exactly what you do to connect, that might help to bette...

Re: ASIAIR not connecting to skywatcher sycscan

Yes, star alignment with hand controller then connect. I have the V5 Synscan hand controller which has a USB MALE connector on bottom right of the hand controller. I connect directly to it that way from ASIair, meaning 1 USB cable from ASIair to Synscan hand controller. Other hand controllers vary e...

Re: Sky safari and Celestron CGX

First, make sure the ASIair is properly conncted to your mount. Open Skysafari and goto settings. Choose SETTINGS-TELESCOPE. Choose the mount on top right for your mount under Equipement Selection. You have to make 2 choices, Scope type and Mount type. Below those choices you have Communications set...

Re: ASIAIR not connecting to skywatcher sycscan

According to ZWO, you must first do a star alignment before ASIair will connect. I had the same problem with my Skywatcher EQ6-R with Synscan V5. After star alignment, connected fine. Are you getting a message with ASIair saying " Connection failed" or something along those lines, if so, do a star a...

Re: WiFi connection problem

Not sure this will help. Powered up my new Asiair last week using a power supply for a cell phone. 12 volts but only 1.2 amps. The ASIair powered up, lights flashing but no Wifi signal after boot up. Used a power supply from my Raspberry Pi V2, ASIair powered up this time with Wifi signal. Could amp...

Multiple ASIair's simultaneously

Awaiting new ASIair to be delivered but in the meantime, I have this question: Seeing that the software is locked down, from what I have read, I assume the configurations cannot be changed inside the Raspberry Pi as well. If so, I see no way as how I would be able to use 2 ASIair's with 2 telescopes...
