Re: ASI178 MC with Celestron NexStar 8 SE

If you go onto the First Light Optics web site and search for the camera then scroll down you will see a tool that allow you to choose telescope, camera and target and shows you the view you will get. A smaller sensor will give you a wider view with the same telescope but you need to check this site...

Re: ASI178 MC with Celestron NexStar 8 SE

Hi, your telescope has a focal length of 2032mm, coupled with the sensor size of the 178MC you will only be able to capture part of the moon but you could take several overlapping images and stitch them together with a program like Microsoft ICE to get a full moon image. Re: red light

You can open a fits file with Fits Liberator or Fitswork4 both free downloads. I would suggest you turn off Asiair and remove power before taking out the card. It will then reboot the firmware when you re-insert and plug power in again.

Re: EOS Lens Adapter Loose - EFW Version

How do we know we are buying the latest one from a stockist. Is there some form of identification, serial number? It could be months before they restock.

Re: Android tablet

You say "just bought", is it second hand? I think that is a 2013 model with Android 4 Jellybean. The minimum for Asiair is I believe Android 5 so unless there was an update for your tablet after realease from Lenovo, the Asiair app is probably not compatible. Try the Lenovo website see if you can fi...

Trapesium in the Orion Nebula

I'm new to CMOS imaging and controlling with ASiair, and have struggled to get to grips with FIT files, gain, binning etc., but it is coming together bit by bit. Here is my first attempt at getting some detail into the Trapesium in the Orion Nebula. It's great to see it back in the sky after it's su...
