New camera with very impressive IMX 482 new Sony sensor

Hi Sam, Hi Catherine, Hi all, To my opinion, for a new high sensitivity color camera there is a 2.1 Mpix impressive new sensor that could be "the killer of the year", the Sony IMX482 : https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/products/common/pdf/IMX482LQJ_LQJ1_Flyer.pdf Same generation as IMX462 but it's a Qu...

FPS Values at different resolutions for new ASI 533 MC Pro

Hi Sam, :D
Hi all,

For a potential use in planetary imaging, please could you add a table
of maximum FPS we could have with ASI 533 MC Pro ?
For exemple :
1600x1200
1024x760
800x600
640x480

Many thanks !
Best.

Re: LTN4323 Fairchild : the ultimate sensor we are looking for ?

Hi Sam,
Hi Chad,
Hi Sean,
Hi all,

As there is still no credible medium size (near 4/3) monochrome sensor on the market,
please could it evaluate this sensor ?
What would be the price of a cooled ZWO camera with this sensor ?
Many thanks.

Best.

New monochrome sensors ???

Hi Sean, Hi Sam, We still do not have any valid candidate to replace the monochrome Panasonic sensor of ASI1600. Or any monochrome rolling shutter sensor having a size between 1" to APS-C. So do you know if Sony could finally bring to the market a monochrome version of one of these sensors this year...

Re: New Sony sensor - IMX428

Hi Sean, Hi Chad, Hi Sam, About the IMX 428, last informations coming from FLIR/Point Grey are very disturbing and it's not good news for us :  The value of 2.7 e- for read noise is given at High conversion Gain, not at Low Conversion gain !!!! I was hoping nearly 1.5 e- at High Gain, but I was...

Re: ASI 294 read noise curve explanation ?

Hi Chad, Hi Sam, Hi ZWO team, Hi all, Firstly, I wish you an happy (european) new year 2019 !! A lot of success for all ! Chad, Fourth, I asked sony about this problem, they give me the same answer, do add first. So OK, if Sony confirm that the 4 pixel are firstly added and then read after (when pro...
