I just purchased a ZWO ASI294MC Pro Cooled camera a month or so ago...I seem to be having a problem getting good dark frames...They are all coming out gray, not black... With lens cover on, mounted to the scope, or unmounted, still not dark...I have the camera in a dark closet now doing some 3 minut...

Re: 1st Image ASI294MC Pro Cooled

So this is something which has to be done in the post processing or after stacking then is what you're saying? Not on the camera itself before capturing the images? Okay, I will play with this thing. I have all the RAW light images and the darks. I'll just have to figure out which tools to use in PS...

And it so, How can I duplicate the proper colors that my camera is seein...

Re: Focus Issues

I'm not sure how to determine the back focus of the coma corrector. Are you talking about the back set of the lens from the end of the opening of the coma corrector, or what? Like I said, I'm new to all of this. All I was told by the ZWO instructions were that your cameras have a 55mm back focus...S...

Focus Issues

Just got my first dedicated astro camera. An ASI294MC Pro...I have a Celestron 9.25 SCT, and a TPO 6" Newtonian. I decided to try this on the Newt last night. First of all I am new to all of this so I wasn't sure where in the optical train to put the coma corrector. I ended up installing it first in...
