Re: ASI294 MC PRO cooling

To conclude, there is no power problem, the camera cools the same independent of which power source I use. Disconnect of dew heater does increase fan speed a very little. I have solved the problem by keeping cooling around 80-85% from start up to final state. I adjust the target temperature down bit...

Re: ASI294 MC PRO cooling

Also,

The camera control screen, with sliders for temp, gain etc

It would be very helpful to display at the foot fo the screen the same information as the preview screen, current temperature, current cooler load.

Re: ASI294 MC PRO cooling

Thanks for the reply, I am powering the camera via splitter which goes to anti-dew heater. This comes from a Pegasus Astro box which also powers a ZWO EAF and an ASIAir. USB data from EAF and from ZWO 120MM guide camera are routed through the 294 Pro USB hub. I can disconnect the dew heater and I ca...

ASI294 MC PRO cooling

All winter my 294 pro has reached and maintained -20C without problem.

This weekend it will only attain -16C with cooler at 100%. Ambient is about 15C.

Is this normal ? Do I need to do something ?

ZWO please advise.

ASI294 pro

I usually take all my DSO shots at gain of 120, temperature minus 20. To increase signal, I extend exposure time, say up to 600secs with an Optolong Enhance filter and end up with stackable frames with near zero noise. If I were to increase the gain to 350, the gain/read noise graphs indicate little...

ASIAir tablet screen

I would find it most useful if the ASIAir screen on the tablet could display somewhere the time and date and also the expected time to complete an autorun.

Out in the dark it would be very useful to have this data all in one place.

Re: Guiding ASIAIR EQ6 Mount w/EQMOD Cable

I have EQ6-R Pro without a USB port, and ASI120 guide camera on ASI OAG. ASIAir is connected to the mount directly via EQMOD USB cable, the guide cam USB goes via the main ASI294 hub. I do not use ST4 at all, but at first I did think that maybe it was the solution and bought the cable and adapter, b...
