Manual Filter Wheel is not light proof or dust proof ...

Your manual filter wheel (5 position, 1.25" filters) is not light proof (so doing darks after the moon rises fails for one example) and dust gets in on the filters. Could you please suggest to your team that they add something like the dark fibrous or felt-like material edge-loading cd/dvd readers u...

Re: Manual focus doesn't work with EFW-EOS adapter unless there is power to the canon lens.

I suspected that, It would be decent to have that in the description since it is almost impossible to buy manual focus lenses any more (except rokinin) and most of us would be expecting to use the canon lenses we have which if they are eos are pretty likely to be autofocus with a manual option that ...

Platesolving smaller than 0.4 degrees fov

I have an sct/focal reducer giving 1200mm f6 and field a bit smaller than 20 minutes — cant do smaller planetary nebulas and galaxies using my 178MMC due small chip small pixels due to limitation of platesolving. I realise the built in database would rise a lot. Only option I can see for the present...

Manual focus doesn't work with EFW-EOS adapter unless there is power to the canon lens.

I have your eos for efw adapter ("ZWO EFW-EOS for EFW and ASI1600) + mini-efw + 178 MMC. I have tried attaching eos lenses and cannot get them to manually focus (my tamron 90mm does) and it appears looking on the internet that newer EOS lenses do not have a direct connection from manual focus wheel ...

Re: OAG tracking too coarse with ASIAIR

Just an update on my progress. I did get equally good results with the "normal" settings on OAG and improved by about 50% with some mechanical work on my mount but am still getting RMS about the order of 1-2 secs. Unfortunately bushfire smoke looks like wiping me out for months so I haven't been abl...

Re: OAG tracking too coarse with ASIAIR

Clouds are against me so I don't know if I still have a problem — I suspect I do because EQMOD is limited to minimum 20mS guiding pulse in PHD as I understand it. BUT I would still be interested to know if anyone out there is successfully using OAG guiding with ASIAIR unit. and what gear they are us...

Re: OAG tracking too coarse with ASIAIR

Hi Ji, It is set to 0.5x I have been trying a few things so my setup has changed. I am now successfully using EQMOD (after finding that I have to support the weight of the cable to stop losing the connection from Skysafari pro. Unfortunately the weather has turned against me so I have not been able ...

Re: OAG tracking too coarse with ASIAIR

It appears that the only controls I have for guiding are 1) exposure time on guiding camera 2) max duration of guiding pulse in RA and DEC and 3) aggressiveness of guiding. (I am curious to know if I change autoguider speed on my skywatcher synscan controller whether that will changes things as well...
