Re: Why am I getting this grid pattern
Can you post an example image, preferably one before stacking, that shows the pattern?

Re: ZWO ASI 120mm exposure failure on ubuntu 19.10 RPI4
I don't own an ASI-mini but people on the indilib forum report that it works. Perhaps someone from ZWO can confirm this?

Re: ZWO ASI 120mm exposure failure on ubuntu 19.10 RPI4
The newer Linux kernels in Ubuntu 18.04 and up enforce a tighter use of the USB2 standard, which the ASI120MM (and MC) break. There is a lot of info about what's exactly wrong with the way this camera implements this standard only partially. It is actually a good thing that the kernel enforces this ...

Re: ZWO ASI 120mm exposure failure on ubuntu 19.10 RPI4
Hi Stephen, Do you have an ASI120MM (USB 2) or ASI120MM-S (USB 3)? The first one is not compatible with Linux (and MacOS and Windows 10) because it doesn’t implement the USB2 standard correctly. There is a “compatibility” firmware for that camera but it never worked for me. If you have an ASI120MM-S...

Re: 1st Image ASI294MC Pro Cooled
In general this needs to be done before stacking. I am afraid that PS may not be the best tool for this. Perhaps you can give DeepSkystacker a try and see if that works for you.

Re: EAF advanced unable to manually focus with hand controller
This happened to me as well until I realised that the cable connecting the hand controller to the EAF wasn't plugged in all the way. Please give that a try.

Re: 1st Image ASI294MC Pro Cooled
All color cameras have a sensor of which the individual pixels are only sensitive to one color: Red, Green or Blue. The way those color pixels are ordered in the sensor is called the Bayer pattern. In order to translate the info in those pixels into actual colors, the image needs to be debayered or ...

Re: Solar tracking mode on ASIair.
Ekos (the astro imaging module of KStars) also supports solar tracking.

Re: Excesive ampglow.
I have two ASI1600MM-Pro and both have considerable amp glow in the light subs. However, with dark subs taken with the same temperature, same gain, same offset and same exposure time my image processing software (AstroPixelProcessor) gets rid of that 100%. As a matter of fact, I shoot all my i ages ...

Re: Focus Issues
Adding to @Chuckwagon's excellent comments, the back focus is specified by the flattener, reducer or coma corrector and never by the camera. Just to (hopefully) clarify things even more.
