Feature request - Flip X Y

I have just received my new ASI533mc Pro and realised that the ASIAIR doesn’t Flip vertical or horizontal, like AsiCap and other software does. Having used a DSLR I am used to seeing thing correct way up. As the ASI533mc is a square sensor I can turn it upside down, but that may upset things when I ...

Re: ASIAR 1.4 Flash/Solid State Drive (need FAT32 format).

Thanks Chen , I was hoping you’d find an answer as I have the same 1TB SSD.
It’s also great that you can have it on the Mac and it is seen by the Air.
I wonder if the Pro will also only use FAT32 or exFat as well.

Re: ASIAIR v1.3 and new ASI533mc.. what to do?

Well I collected my new ASI533mc today and connected it to the ASIAIR running version 1.3 and it showed up in the camera dropdown next to my asi120mm guide camera.. after a few tests in daylight it seems to work fine.

Thanks ZWO guys for preloading the new cameras into v1.3!!
Cheers

ASIAIR v1.3 and new ASI533mc.. what to do?

I get my new ASI533mc camera today, and am very sad to hear I cannot use it with my ASIAIR software version 1.3, do I have to wait for public beta of 1.4? I only started Astrophotography this year and have always only used an ASIAIR, not any other software as I have a Mac and don’t want to have to l...

Re: ASIAIR Facebook user group

Sam, I agree with Propus, many of us don’t do Facebook.
As a Chinese company you should understand that.

Re: HEQ5 guiding problems

Thanks Redsky, I was going to try the beta, but never got around to it. I have purchased and am going to use a cable and the ASIAIR with the EQMOD driver, maybe on the weekend. It bypasses the handset and uses the ASIAIR as the goto database. You also don’t have to do a 3 star alignment. SkySafari i...

Re: HEQ5 guiding problems

I was sold the camera ASIAIR and scope as a very expensive kit from my local dealer and I really don’t think they understand how undocumented this is. It will do the zig zag a little during calibration, but then should have enough data to keep it on track guiding. I have had success in getting some ...

Re: HEQ5 guiding problems

Hi Redsky, I have a similar problem with a HEQ5 and the same ZWO 120mm mini guide camera. Although during calibration the mount will slew and lose track of the star, saying “star lost” and never find it again. Oddly during the day if I point the guide scope into a mass of trees it can find a small g...
