Re: Erroneous Longitude/Latitude Values after Setting Up ASIair with Celestron AVX Mount

>> For any beta testing, how do you get on the list to be a tester - could devote on iPad to this endeavor. Hi Jim, The first thing you need to do is download a copy of Apple's TestFlight app on iOS (that is how iOS betas are pushed out). Then use this web page on Safari to join the beta test (no fu...

Re: Erroneous Longitude/Latitude Values after Setting Up ASIair with Celestron AVX Mount

Hi Jim, > I have one question about the ASIair updates - are the firmware and app updates all handled through the application or do I need > to go to a web site to download (recall first launching the app there were some updates but didn't watch carefully what was updating). The ASIAIR firmware (in ...

Re: Can't guide with the asi air

>> I've tried the st4 cable to USB and that doesn't work with the air. To guide using ST4, you'll need to select "On-Camera-ST4" as the telescope type in the Telescope Settings window. Then connect the ST4 port from the selected guide camera to the ST4 port of the mount -- no USB involved. With ASIA...

Re: Update 1.3 (Android)

>> Not sure what GoTo Auto-Center does? Depending on how precisely you have done an initial polar and star alignment, and the quality of the equatorial mount, a plate solve and goto can land you a little off the target object. What you usually had to do was to repeatedly execute a number of plate so...

Re: AZ-GTI ASIAIR and SkySafari using an Ipad

It is a little involved because SkySafari does not currently support EQMOD. (I tested this with a 11" iPad Pro, ASIAIR v1.3, SkySafari Plus, and an AZ-GTi, but I think it will work with any other iOS devices -- Apple's devices tend to work across the board.) There are three things to set up. 1) the ...

Re: No WiFi connection

Great to see the progress, Kurt. I am pretty sure it will all work once ZWO sends you the license file. However, if you are impatient and still have the image from the original saved file on your computer, you can mount the image file (it mounts as a volume named BOOT) and find a file called zwoair_...

Re: No WiFi connection

Hi Kurt, Do you have access to a different computer, especially a Mac that can run ApplePi-Baker? ApplePi-Baker seems to work pretty consistently for me. Short of that, or if they still fail at 83% to 96% of completion, you could try these two things: 1) In case there are some partitions that cannot...

Re: No WiFi connection

That sounds like a Windows error; sorry I can't help since I use MacOS X (I've been using ApplePi Baker to archive and restore the ASIAIR SD cards). Do you have another SD card you can try with? Anything with capacity of 32 GB or more will work (albeit, the max image storage area remains at 25 GB). ...

Re: No WiFi connection

Hi Kurt, I suspect that the SD card is corrupted when firmware was being written to the ASIAIR from the ASIAIR app in your tablet. Quite likely caused by a poor WiFi connection. If the SD card is indeed corrupted, you will need to restore the SD card image that you had backed up when you had origina...
