Soft camera / EFW bag

Hi,

I always store my camera (ASI1600mm) and 7 position filterwheel attached. I would like a soft bag that will protect both the camera and the EFW.

Equipment Improvements

Hi, I recently purchased a ASI-1600 Pro camera, filter-wheel and power supply. I am very happy with everything and have 2 improvement suggestions. The power supply should have a longer cable (at least 2 meter) between the camera connecting jack-plug and the power supply. The jack-plug could also hav...

Re: Back-Focus distance

Hi Martin, I had a look at my TS flattener and it is the 2.5". What is your BF distance with the APM and TS Flattener. I also use the Riccardi 0.75 reducer/flattener (this is the one that fits inside the scope) and I think the BF is 80mm. If you have other info, it would be appreciated. Regards John

Back-Focus distance

Hi, I am using an APM apo 107/700 scope, a 2" TS flattener and the ASI1600MM-Pro with the 7 position filter wheel and 36mm filters. The ZWO site shows the 55mm back-focus but the APM site shows 111mm for back-focus. Which is the correct distance for proper back-focus and are the filters par-focal (N...

Hi,

The image gain 100, exposure 300 and only the Ha filter was used.

Re: Strange artifacts around bright star Alnitak.

Hi,

The halo is a small part of the problem which I can remove with processing. The big issue is the "micro - lens" effect on bright stars, in this case Alnitak. Perhaps the issue is more about the Ha filter.

Re: Strange artifacts around bright star Alnitak.

Hi,

So can I get a refund for the ZWO1600MM, Filter wheel with LRGB and NB filters? This was purchased at the end of December and used only once.

Strange artifacts around bright star Alnitak.

Hi, Kindly refer to the attachment. This was my first attempt at narrow band - shot with an APM apo 107/700 scope with the new ZWO 1600MM cooled to zero degrees, exposure 300 seconds at gain 100. There are two issues, the first is the bright star halo and then star itself is reflected around itself....
