Re: New ZWO user, getting "sync failed" with AVX and SkySafari

Being a Skywatcher user but reading many posts on the ZWO Facebook site, I would choose the Celestron choice for the mount. ZWO will be bringing out an EAF soon fully compatible with the Asiair. Connecting from a Laptop or PC can be done by using BlueStacks which is an Android emulator that can run ...

Re: Does Skysafari 6 Pro have to be linked to plate solve?

I do not need SkySafari to plate solve...............just the ASIair.

I use Skysafari for GOTO objects and slewing to said objects.

I do not think there is any link to SkySafari and plate solving.

Re: Does Skysafari 6 Pro have to be linked to plate solve?

In SkySafari, you did enter the IP address and port as per ZWO requirements?

IP address: 10.0.0.1
Port address 4030

Re: Backup Imaging

Hi George, I got a chance to look thru the trouble shooting you did with TJ . Connolly. The only thing I can add, since I'm not sure if you tried this, but, personnaly, with my Raspberry Pi V2 and backing up the orignal boot SD Card, I had to try many different SD cards from Best Buy, Amazon, etc......

Re: red light

Hi all, I believe there are 2 questions being asked by Trampe. 1: How to open FIT files, and 2: When putting back the SD card, the light stays red and cannot connect. Seems to be 2 issues here, so, as DaveFrance responded "You can open a fits file with Fits Liberator or Fitswork4 both free downloads...

Re: Can I Upgrade The Storage Space On ASIAIR?

Using a larger card is possible as it is often done with Raspberry Pi's however, an image file takes the same size of the partition it is copying.....32 to 32 gigs for example. It copies bit per bit, track per track. To achieve using a larger SD card and size, you have to expand the partition once t...

Re: ioptron ieq 30 pro connection problem

One last thing, I assume you are using the latest version of ASIair app? Not sure if the mounts were in there prior to V 1.0.8 as I only purchased the ASIair 1 month ago and downloaded the V1.0.8 from Google Play store for Android

Re: ioptron ieq 30 pro connection problem

BTW, I just looked at the number of possible iOptron mounts and counted approx. 10 possible models.

If you have no iOptron mounts as choices possible, suggest you contact ZWO Support.

Good luck

Re: ioptron ieq 30 pro connection problem

When I look at the section TELESCOPE in the Asiair, I see an ioptron IEQ30. When I choose it it allows me to choose Serial connection or Wifi

Do you see that also. Can you post a screenshot of your choices for the ioptron mounts as I see multiple choices.

Re: Where is a list of supported cameras?

As per info from ZWO: The ASIair will work with all ZWO Pro, Cooled, USB 3.0 and Mini cameras. The standard USB2.0 ASI 120 cameras are not compatible with this device. We recommend that you look into the ASI 120 Mini as an alternative guider or the ASI 120 Superspeed cameras for planetary imaging. H...
