Re: ASIAIR User Feedback

Good to know. One competitor already supports Sony so it can't be that hard.

ASIair interface unclear/confusing

I updated my Android ASIair app and it updated the ASIair device (337). Then I tried to so something very simple and was stymied. I purchased a new ZWO mini guide scope and wanted to focus it with my ASI290. Those were the only two devices connected. I set up the ASI290 as the main camera. I couldn'...

Re: ASIAIR User Feedback

Any plans to support Sony e-mount cameras like the A7 series? Being able to control the camera via ASIair is a terrific function.

EAF mounted on AT65EDQ

Because of bolt sizes being so small, I was left with the drawtube tension bolt as the mechanism to hold the EAF bracket. That bolt is M10 1.0 and I couldn't find any bolts to replace it. So I used it along with a washer. I had to drill a 10.3mm hole in the center of the bracket. This is what it loo...

Specialty bolts needed to attaching EAF to AT65EDQ

First of all I will have to drill a hole for very large tension bolt. See attachment. Then I also need much longer bolts to attach the bracket through the Crayford focuser base to the telescope. The AT65 bolts are 1cm long and countersunk 4mm. I went to Home Depot (large North American hardware/buil...

Re: EAF Standard Bolts Too Short for Explore Scientific APO EDT Series Rack & Pinion Focuser

I have a similar problem with my AT65EDQ. The bolts are too short but I am confident I can buy longer ones. However I am curious as to what you did to get around the tension bolt for the drawtube. The supplied bracket doesn't accommodate that bolt.

Need for SkySafari

Canada ASI1600mm/ASI290 mini CEM25P Samsung tablet 100ED telescope I am running v228 of ASIair and associated Android app. I discovered that I don't need SkySafari whatsoever for GoTo's, plate solving and Synching. In fact, after initiating a GoTo in SkySafari and then plate solving in ASIair, I get...

Re: ASIAIR User Feedback

Canada ASI1600mm Pro ASI290mm mini Samsung Android tablet ASIair v 228. I need to know which iOptron setting for telescope is appropriate for my CEM25P. It uses an 8408 hand controller. There is a setting which begins CEM but then lists very dissimilar products. Another setting has Smart EQ/ZEQ with...

Re: stripped threads manual filter wheel

I tested at least 6 M42 male adapters with both sides of the EFW. They all worked fine, except for the Nikon-M42 doesn't screw in properly on one side but had no problem on the other side. The ASI1600mm Pro screws properly into one side of the EFW but doesn't even touch the threads of the other fema...

Re: stripped threads manual filter wheel

I now have the same problem with my ASI1600 screwing into an EFW. Yet the camera screws properly into the 11mm extension, other extensions and adapters. Last summer I had an accident when an RC6 came loose and flipped out of the dovetail saddle sideways when it hit the bolt that was supposed to prev...
