Jhaunton It dose, but you need to ask support to get the newest firmware file to update through ASCOM. For now, ASCOM does not support online updating. You see it shows v1.1.2. We will deal with it later.

There is a major bug where you can't use the mount on wifi without the hand controller plugged in.

I've never used the hand controller. I always use my computer to control the mount. The ZWO driver has an option for updating the mount firmware with a file. Why is it so difficult to access this file? Why is it not just simply accessible via the support downloads page like every other vendor? My mount is still on the firmware it shipped with 1.1.2. Please provide a link to the firmware either here in the forums or on the support site.

deathtical For now, we doesn't publish the firmware files on website of ASI Mount.
There are three ways to upgrade ASI Mount's firmware:

with HC
with ASCOM Local update, you need to contact us to get the file
with ASCOM online update, still has a bug that it's not the latest version. We will fix it and note it as soon as possible.

hyiger Yes i've heard but since i never need to use the hand controller would be much more convenient if the wifi was built into the base unit, and allow me to run it without the hand controller.

Foobaria The base unit is all metal; it'd need a separate antenna to make that work.

Is the firmware of the AM3 is the same as the AM5 ? When I'm using the ASI Mount 6.5.12.0 and report my AM3 as a AM5 mount.
