How to connect SkyWatcher 10" Dobson GoTo WiFi to ASIAIR

How can I connect this mount to ASIAIR ? I am able to establish connection but tracking is not working. As I can see Alt/Az coordinates in ASIAIR are different from SynScan pro and I don't know how to sync this.
Alignment is done in Synscan Pro and tracking is working fine but when I try to start tracking in ASIAIR only one axis is moving or none of them. Does anyone have experience with this mount ?

Hello, what is the model of the equatorial mount you selected in App-Mount?

Hello, this is Alt/Az mount. I selected this mount and I am able to connect to this mount and manualy move the scope. The problem is that ASIAIR does not have correct coordinates from this mount so GoTo is not working. When I try to enable tracking from ASIAIR only one axis is moving. I tried different procedures of connection - first Alignment and then connection with ASIAIR/first connection and then Alignment.. there was No difference.

Is there a lack of location coordinates?
If this is the case, the reason may be that the mobile device does not locate the geolocation information.
You try to use this mobile phone to connect to a Wi-Fi first (can access the Internet), and visit several websites (the mobile phone will re-acquire the geographical location information during this process). After a while, connect to ASIAIR Wi-Fi and try to connect to the equatorial mount

Ok I will start all over again. First of all - I have Alt/Az mount like this:

As you can see I am connecting with this mount by wifi. Settings in synscan pro(you can see that gps location is updated):

In ASIAIR I am able to connect with this mount:

Now the problem I have is the Alt/Az coordinates mismatch:

As you can see Azimuth/Altitude in synscan pro are different than in ASIAIR. I believe this is the reason why Goto is not working. Additionaly when I enable tracking in ASIAIR only Azimuth is changing - altitude axis is not working. This is only happening when I try to enable tracking in ASIAIR - in Synscan pro Goto and tracking is working fine.

Hello, we checked this issue recently. Please try：after the Wi-Fi connection is successful - close the SynScan App on the mobile phone - restart the Mount - connect again

Please try to see if it works normally

Hello, thank you for your help. Unfortunately it doesn’t work correctly. Two axles are working after following your instructions but it’s not following the object and GoTo is not working. This was my procedure:

I turned the mount and ASIAIR on
I Did Alignment in SynScan pro and checked if GoTo/tracking works - it was ok
I turned off the mount and closed SynScan pro
I turned the mount on and connect to it in ASIAIR
Alt/Az coordinates are still not the same. GoTo/tracking is not working. I tried to select FOV and sync to mount - No difference.

I noticed that left/right direction are swapped during manual movement compared to SynScan pro . Is it ok ?

Could you try selecting [SkyWatcher SynScan] or [SkyWatcher SynScan Beta]? Same as the above operation, please pay attention to close the SynScan app and restart the Mount when connecting

Hello, thanks for response.. I am able to connect with this mount only if I choose Skywatcher AZ GTI/SynScan Wifi. When I try to connect choosing different mount I’m getting errors:

I also tried to change port number to 11880 UDP like in az gti connection but still there was No connection.

Just to be clear:

I turn the mount on
I connect to SynScan wifi
I connect to the mount and check if station mode is enabled
I close SynScan app and turn the mount off and then on
I connect to the Asi air and try to connect to the mount.

Is it correct ?

Hello, I found our technical staff to study this issue together:

[SkyWatcher AZ-GTI/SynScan WiFi] is a driver developed for equatorial mounts. When tracking, the dob only moves one axis, because one of the axes is recognized as the RA axis.

【SkyWatcher SynScan Beta】Support theodolite mode, with tracking function
So what we need to find a way to connect is 【SkyWatcher SynScan Beta】; I found a few Posts with connection experience, please see if the information in it can help you successfully connect

Hello,

Still no success.. I tried 2-star Alignment and 3-star Alignment. After Alignment I closed SynScan app, restarted the mount and tried to connect via Asi air plus.

After restarting the mount alt/az coordinates are set to 0.. how should I restart the mount without loosing position ? Maybe Here I am making some misake ? I also noticed that asi air plus is immediately changing coordinates after connection..

I’m not able to connect with this mount when I try to choose SynScan beta or SynScan. I tried different ports TCP/UDP and I only get errors to check IP address or USB cable.

Hello, I see that I Have two options of wired connection:

Direct connect to the mount with hc->usb adapter
Connection to the hand controller (it also has rj11 or rj12)

Which one should I try and what cable/adapter you suggest to buy ?

You can try both. If you use 2, you need to do 3-stars Align before connecting
