Colour pixels in overexposed area - Sony

Just noticed this issue when testing my A7RIV (seen it also on Facebook on another camera type as well).
The zones which are very bright (overexposed) gets this sort of colour pixels (see heavily zoomed in image). I have noticed it in the middle of very bright stars as vell in certain parts of M42; the bigger the blown area the worse tha pattern becomes.
This pattern does not exist in the RAW images, only in the FITS and makes me think it is a coonversion artefact; whatever software library is used internally by AA needs some work.
Ayone else noticing the pattern (zoom in a lot on the brightest parts) please add your experience in this thread.

I've haven't had the chance to fully test it outside but I was just learning how to use everything inside and unless I tweaked everything a certain way I would get the same issue.

omegathered Would be interesting to see the results.
From my further testing, there appear to be other type of artefacts as well - darker this time and showing around stars.
Stacking will eliminate colored pixels from overexposed areas but will stack the others and make them stronger.

Looks like the "Compressed Raw" is the culprit here.
If this was a known issue to ZWO, why there is no mention about this? Plenty of advice how to set your camera and nothing about this - not cool.

Hi, pls have a look in the ASIAIR 2.1 release thread.. I posted a picture there that exactly have those artifacts in orions nebula core.
