Updating Firmware`

The instructions to upgrade firmware for the AM5 are confusing. I cannot launch ASIAIR Plus app without being connected to the ASIAIR Plus. But that means I have no internet access so I cannot download the firmware. What's the best way to ensure that the mount has the latest firmware?

Hi Kevin,

OK, but doesn't that present the same issue? To connect with the AM5 I cannot download firmware from online, and to be connected online means I can't access the mount. Could you please elaborate a little?

Update:
I followed the online instructions, opened my AM5 app, connected to the hand controller WI-FI, went to settings and also connected to my home wi-fi and got to the firmware update page in the management section of the AM5 app. It gave me the firmware versions installed on the mount and hand controller but says, next to Latest Version: Get Data Failed. It says this for both the mount and hand controller. That isn't working...

Yep. Did that too..I made sure that the AM5 app was also getting signal from my home wi-fi. That's when I got the error message..

jsg not sure why. The hand controller has to be attached and that should be setup on your wifi too….

Is there anyone at ZWO or any user that might help me to upgrade the AM5 firmware? I've followed the instructions precisely but I get the above error messages (see original post of this thread). I've got signal on my phone from the AM5 app as well as from my home wi-fi. Yet I get the above error.

Sorry for the inconvenience, please submit a ticket on ZWO support and our engineer will help you out.

Network tab confirms that mount software is successfully connected to my home wi-fi router. Also successfully connected to the mount hand controller. I've been corresponding with Simon at ZWO about this and he said the developers are aware that there may be an issue on ZWO's end. See attached images.

Looks like there's nothing wrong with it, could you try another wifi ssid,please.
