Yes, that configuration worked for me as well. To review:
I tried the beta driver first. 6.5.13. That did not work with Astro Photography Tool (APT). I did not test it any further. I have no idea what version it was (64bit or 32bit) as it was not in the name of the driver.
I tried the 6.5.12 x64 driver next, base on the assumption that the version I tried when the problem started was the 6.5.12 x86 version. APT worked fine connecting the AM5, but when I started CdC, I could not connect the AM5. That is what the screen shot shows you in the email I sent earlier.
I use Windows 10 64 bit on an Intel NUC with an I5 and 16GB of memory.
I'm a bit confused about this 'two' driver model that you are attempting. Do I use the 64bit driver if I have a 64bit system? Or do I use the 64bit driver is I am using a 64bit program? If I have a 64bit system but all my software is 32bit, do I use the 32bit driver? Have you read about 32bit and 64bit drivers on the ASCOM website:
https://www.ascom-standards.org/COMDeveloper/DevFor32And64Bits.htm
There seems to be no reason to have a 64bit version unless you are writing for a high speed camera.
