CingStars Is there a way to reinstall the OLD firmware on the ASIAir Plus? The new firmware (9.97) is causing guiding problems and I tried to revert to the old firmware that came with the unit, but after I reset the firmware, the ASIAir forces me to upgrade the firmware to the new version, and the guiding issues still exist.
The matching ASIAIR firmware is embedded as a payload inside the ASIAIR app.
To use an older firmware, you would need to download the matching older app.
On an Android device, look inside previous downloads for the APK file for the app, assuming you hadn't deleted it.
On an iOS device, an older app is only available if you had previously archived that version of the app with third party application like iMazings that you run on macOS. If you fnd a version of ASIAIR that is stable for you, just make sure to archive it on a Mac. iMazing is not free, but would be your only choice to restore an older app in the future.
Here is what I have archived away for my iPads:
One thing that I recommend that you try if you are on iOS -- download Apple's TestFlight (iOS Beta program) and point TestFlight to the ZWO ASIAIR beta apps. There is a place in TestFlight to choose earlier versions of the Beta. If you are lucky, you will find the version for v1.9 earlier. From my notes, the most recent ASIAIR 1.9 beta (Build 35) uses firmware 9.53 -- the same as the released ASIAIR v1.9.
