Hello Tech!
No, the USB drive was only attached temporarily to the camera hub as a quick test. While attached to the camera hub, and as a troubleshooting procedure, I successfully showed that I could read/write to the USB thumb drive from the laptop (camera hub apparently works). With the U disk removed, the camera selecting and engaging problem via ZWO software still remains.
(I sure would like to try reloading the firmware image!)
