I've got some tilt somewhere in my imaging train and I was considering grabbing a tilt adjuster to help get rid of it. I've got an ASI1600mm camera with the ZWO Anti-Dew heater strip on, connecting straight into the back of my ZWO 8 position 1.25" EFW.
I'm curious if it's possible to place a tilt plate onto the camera even with the anti-dew strip on there? I'm already concerned about having it pressed directly against the EFW, but a tilt plate AFAIK will be pushing screws out into the camera body for adjustment, which would instead be pushing directly into the plastic/metal of the anti-dew strip. Is this advisable or could the tilt plate be put elsewhere, like between the front of the EFW and the adapters going to the field flattener?
Semi-related, what about just shimming some paper in as I screw the camera in... that would then have a strip or two of paper in between the camera with the anti-dew strip and the EFW body. Is this a safety concern for heating?
