A brief update:
The StarGO2 / Raspberry Pi 4 based controller has its own INDI server and INDI (StarGO2) driver. So if you want to control this mount it is best to use this driver that automatically loads at start-up of the the StarGO2 driver.
I can access this mount easily with the new SkySafary 7 Pro app, which can access other INDI servers and drivers.
The ASIAIR pro, however, has its own INDI server and hence uses its own INDO drivers. Therefore, when I want to access the StarGO2, I have to use a pre-installed INDI driver from the ASIAIR Pro INDI server. In this case, the only driver that kind of works is the LX200 Basic. Other LX200-based drivers are not able to connect to the mount!
Best or even only way to connect is, when both devices are connected with ethernet cables to the same local network.
On my iPad Pro, the LX200 Basic driver allows for Previews + plate solving and the re-centering with the green circle in the Preview mode. Also Planning mode works with plate-solving-based re-centering
Not supported is…
- Guiding
- Interactive slewing
AFAIK, these two are related since the guiding mode uses the slewing commands.
The only solutions I see to this issue are …
either …. ASIAIR using the INDI server on the StarGO2 computer
or … ASIAIR providing the same or similar INDI driver on the ASIAIR as the one pre-installed on the StarGO2.
…any other suggestions?
