I own two Canon DSLR's 6d and T3I. THe T3I is barely used and had zero issues beforehand.
The 6d is second hand and I have less time with it, a recent acquisition.
I connected the T3I to the AsiAirPro and had multiple sessions with easy connection and good control of the camera.
I then tried the 6D and initially it connected and was controlling it as predicted.
I then tried a session outdoors at night. The 6D initially connected then started to have issues such as disconnecting and or getting stuck and I would have to shut off the camera.
I unplugged the USB from the ASIAir Pro a a few times and it reconnected.
The issues repeated with losing connection and getting some exposure failures.
I then tried something new. I toggled to a 5G connection and started over.
The 6D started working for another 30 mins or so.
The next session outside initially I had connection issues with the app/ASIAir pro.
It then started to work for about 15 mins.
Then it lost USB connection again. Getting frustrated at this point as you would expect.
I also saw an error 80 once on the 6d LCD display. I had to pull the battery to reset the camera from that.
I then started to check to see if the camera would connect to my Laptop.
I plugged it into my Windows 10 Laptop and the USB is NOT connecting now and shows me a USB error 43.
I am now suspecting that the ASIAir Pro caused something/damage to my 6D.
I previously used the T3I successfully for multiple short sessions with the ASIAIR Pro.
I then tried to connect with the laptop to the T3i via USB. It now is also giving me a USB error to the laptop.
Now I have TWO cameras with unusable USB connections.
By process of deduction the common denominator is that both cameras were plugged into the ASIAIR pro, had issues, and now both are not communicating via USB to two devices.
Are there any known issues with the USB hardware causing damage to DSLR cameras???
