I recently got the ZWO ASI AIR so I can keep my laptop inside during the winter. I have been running into problems with connecting it to my mount, though. I have the Skywatcher EQ6-R PRO mount. Everything else connects and works well (camera ZWO ASI 1600, EAF, EWF, autoguider ZWO ASI174mm mini) but when trying to connect to the mount it does not cooperate. For one, there are 2 options for Skywatcher Syn-Scan (Syn-scan and Syn-scan Beta) which I do not know which to choose between. When I do connect, however, when telling the mount to go somewhere via the app it either A) doesn't move, or B) goes somewhere completely wrong (like points into the ground). It gets to the HOME position well enough, but when, for example, going to M31, it goes somewhere wrong.
How I have been trying:
Polar align
1 star alignment (usually on Sirius)
sent mount to HOME position via syn-scan hand controller
Turn on ASI AIR and connect it
Am I doing something wrong? Is there an in-depth guide somewhere that I have missed? Thank you in advance
