Dear Members,
Today, after waiting around 3 weeks, I finally got my long-awaited, new ZWO ASI 462 MC camera.
I still have little experience with new types of planet cams like this one, but I got the driver installation according to the instructions + FireCapture and the camera recording to work without any problems. When looking at the first test images, however, there was disappointment:
The camera image shows a relatively large, dark edge shadowing (vignetting effect) on the left edge of the image. This cannot be seen on the right.
First I saw the problem with the small 2.5mm AllSky lens supplied, but the dark edge always remains in the same place when I´m screwing the lens out / in, so it doesn't rotate with it.
Therefore, I suspect that the problem is an inaccuracy on the housing or incorrect positioning of the sensor.

Has anyone had a similar problem?
In my case, I find the edge shading very extreme - at least no longer acceptable when used as an all-sky camera.
EDIT: I received two responses from other users who have the same problem with the ASI 462 MC: Edge shadowing on the left edge of the image when using a lens. So it seems to be a serial issue.
Thank you for reading. I am grateful for any advice.
Regards, Peter Maier
