Using latest Asiair software update as of 4/16/22:
Test:
Asiair Pro + ASI462MC + USB3 external SSD 2000mb/s speed = 20fps video @ 19361096 . This = USELESS
Asiair Pro + ASI462MC + Ethernet connected external SSD 2000mb/s speed = 20fps video @ 19361096 . This = USELESS
Cheap NUC + ASI462MC + USB3 external SSD 2000mb/s speed = 120 fps video @ 1936*1096. This = Fantastic
This tells me the problem is not with the storage device transfer rate, nor the USB connection, nor the means with which the external storage is connected to the ASIAIR Pro. Its something inside the Asiair that just cannot handle high transfer rates and its why the planetary cameras simply cannot be used with the ASIAIR pro or PLUS system (Plus gets the same castrated performance).
I'm hoping Asiair 3.0 will be PC/NUC based.
