i have the AVX mount and have the same problem, the solution is to disconnect the mount using the slider button for your mount in the telescope section of the asiair app, then start your PA.
The app will give you a warning that the mount is not connected, ignore this and let it go about its business doing the plate solve.
You should now get to the part where it wants to slew 60 degrees, youll have to do this manually by releasing the clutch and slewing by hand roughly 60 degrees in either direction (or you can use the hand controller on the mount but mine doesnt respond to this so i do it by hand) this does not have to be a perfect 60 degrees but somewhere close in that region should work.
Once you have done this there should be a button to click that says confirm or something like that, this will take you to the fine tuning section of the PA using your RA and DEC bolts.
After finishing the PA i return the mount to its home position by hand and connect the mount again in the app using the slider in the telescope section.
this is what works for me and i hope it does for you also
