KevinR That is weird. I have been running v1.5 since beta on iOS (iPad pro) and have had no problem with controlling the EAF.
You can try turning on the Beep tone in the Focuser Setting page, and see if you hear it double beep (problem) when you try to move the EAF.
If it is a Preferences problem when you updated the iOS app (although I am of the impression that the parameters are stored in the EAF itself), you might try to clear all of the parameters in the Focuser Settings page, and start fresh by setting Slow to perhaps 10, Fast to 50 to 100 steps, Max step to something large like 60000 (I believe it will take 99999) and start with a Backlash of 0.
On my FSQ-85 focuser, each EAF step represents 4 microns of draw-tube travel. My critical focus region is somewhere between 8 to 14 EAF steps, so I had been setting my Slow steps to 10 when manually focusing.
If you use the AF (autofocus) button, I believe all these parameters are ignored. I have seen the ASIAIR autofocus make multiple passes to search for the proper step size it needs for autofocusing. You can try to use autofocus to see if the draw-tube moves (the ASIAIR AF actually works on a single artificial star in the daytime).
Finally, check to see if you have the latest firmware in the EAF. An older firmware (of the EAF, not the ASIAIR) failed to move the stepper motor under colder temperatures. Unfortunately, you will need to use a Windows machine to update the firmware.
