Hi,
I'm considering the purchase of an ASI294mm to replace my good old trusty SXTrius694. Still, before I do that, I have a couple of questions that hopefully somebody can comment on...
1) It looks like the lowest temperature below ambient it can go is -35 to -40, but can this be easily achieved? Here in Barcelona on warm summer nights we can go as high as +25 Celsius, so that would leave me with -15 at most, probably that is pushing to the limits and would have to make i work at most to -10. Is that ok for this sensor? How terrible is the noise at that temperature, even at -5? I know the figures are all out there, but how do things come in practical terms from users?
2) Related to that, some say that this camera is suitable for not-that-long exposures, but I usually take 10min subs, even 15min if I do narrowband imaging. Can this be safely sone with this camera, are will the temperature+glow+(??) be an issue?
Thanks a lot for your info,
Ferran.
