This is a problem I am familiar with with the 183. The residual amp glow even with calibration. The issue is this: Your lights are signal + noise. When you calibrate it is signal+noise-darks. If the signal is weak and the noise is high, you can end up with negative calibration values, which get clipped to zero. This means your calibrated lights are not properly calibrated. The solution (in pixinsight) is to set the OUPUT PEDISTAL in the calibration window to something other than 0. I often use 500 DN with the ASI183. I do not remove the pedestal in integration option, but will remove any pedestal in the final integrated image manually in the histogram transformation. If you use the automatic batch processing scripts, there is no way to do this. You have to do it all with manual calibration/processing.
