Two same model cameras and Directshow

Post by josesj » Mon Oct 28, 2019 8:38 am

I'm trying to stream video over network with two ASI224MC cameras connected to the same Windows computer.

With one camera everything runs well, using ffmpeg I can connect, transcode and send the video stream to a remote server.
The problem starts when the second camera is plugged, ffmpeg (and other directshow software) can only see one camera, maybe because the friendly name and the CLSID are the same on both devices.

Exists the posiblity to use the two cameras on the same computer simultaneusly using DirectShow?

I'll prefer using Linux but, your cameras don't have V4L2 support. A pitty!

Sorry, it can not.
For the current, we did not support the 2 same cameras with DirectShow. But with our SDK, it is possible.
And for V4L2, because our camera is a USB camera, and need to work with our library, not the Linux build-in driver, so it is difficult to work with V4l2 structure.
