Second alpha release of Linux capture application

Post by JamesF » Wed Nov 27, 2013 10:22 pm

I promised myself I'd get this done before the end of November so for once I'm actually delivering ahead of schedule :)

The next release is now available here as both source and binaries for 32-bit and 64-bit:

source: http://www.fidell.co.uk/oacapture/oacap ... ha.tar.bz2
binaries: http://www.fidell.co.uk/oacapture/oacap ... in.tar.bz2

You'll need the username "alpha" and password "centauri".

There's a lot more functionality in this release and I have actually used it for real-world data capture now (see the images of Jupiter I posted here recently).

I have tested the non-ST4 ASI120MM and ASI120MC. I don't have any other ZWO models to test however, so feedback on those would be useful. If anyone wants to use the new ASI034MC I may need to add some functionality for that so please let me know and we can work things out between us. I can only spend so much money on astro cameras :D

Play with it, break it, let me know what happens :)

I should have added:

If you want to build from source, read the files in the docs directory first. There are plenty of moving parts to catch your fingers in :)

I've already made some changes to my code that should support the ASI034MC. Once the new SDK is available I'll do what testing I can (not very much, I'm afraid) and make a new release so others can try it if they wish.
