Re: OIII Narrowband Flats Issue - ASI1600MM-C

Update: The current theory to quote Don Goldman: [S]omething in the A/R coating of the cover plate on the sensor or chamber window is reflecting blue-green (OIII) light. I imagine if you really stretched your blue or green flats, you'd faintly see the same thing. The NB filter just eliminates most o...

OIII Narrowband Flats Issue - ASI1600MM-C

Sam, Need some help troubleshooting an issue with my ASI 1600MM-C. I have the 8 position EFW and a set of 1.25" AstroDon Gen2 E-Series LRGB and 5nm Ha, OIII, SII. When I take flats, the images look perfectly fine for LRGB, Ha and SII. For the OIII filter, I have a very strange ring pattern on them, ...

Re: Best camera for use with OAG?

Hi - I have Williams Optics Star 71 which has a focal length of 350mm and a 1600MC for my imaging camera. I'm considering either the ASI120MM-S or the ASI178MM as a guider to use with the ZWO OAG. With the 178MM, I'd have double the real estate (about a square degree vs 0.5 square degree for the 12...

Same result regardless. I checked with some other folks and this is normal. No harm, no foul, it calibrates out just fine.

Re: Multiple Questions - ZWO ASI 1600MM-C

I think the big EFW and narrow banding filters need to wait end of this year the thickness is very close each other, so they are nearly parfocal but different wavelength and focal ratio still have little different focus plane I am sure there is no vignetting for F5.77 scope Hi Sam, Just finished fi...
