What is ASI "long exposure mode"?

I'm using TheSkyX to image, and I see "ASI Long Exposure Mode" as an option in its camera setup and in the FITS headers on my images. Is this just an indication that cooling is on? There is also a "Fast Exposure Mode". Is this an indication that cooling is off? There is a similar setting in FireCapt...

How does ADC work with IR Filter?

I'd like to set up my flip mirror with A ZWO ADC permanently attached and just set it at the neutral position when my targets are high enough. I'm using an ASI1600MMC and an EFW filter wheel. I'm imaging with FireCapture. On my last planetary session I could only get a decent image of Mars in IR, an...

Mars Question

I've seen some pretty good photos of Mars that use IR to get detail through the dust storms. (I can't see any detail visually, just an orange disk.) Will my ASI1600MMC work with IR pass filters to get better detail?

Re: EFW Power Surge Cross posted from Cameras

This EFW only appears as an Power Surge warning. Chad said that indicated a mechanical problem and it is being returned to ZWO.

Re: My computers won't recognize my ASI1600MMC

Thanks, Chad. Should I return the EFW to the US dealer (OPTCORP), the way I did with the camera earlier this year? Or has ZWO figured a way to speed up warrany repairs? The camera repair took about 2 1/2 months.

EFW Power Surge Cross posted from Cameras

My ASI1600MMC worked for a while today but when I reconnected and none of my Windows 10 computers recognize the camera. My warranty for the camera and filter wheel has about 9 months to run. Further examination found that the camera worked when the filter wheel was disconnected, but if I connected t...

Can you suggest an extender dimension? I have about 12mm of drawtube adjustment possible.

Re: I'm getting halos around bright stars in narrow band ima

Thanks, Sean. To clarify: The coated sides of my filters are facing the scope, the clear sides of the filters are facing the camera. (See Below. Stepper motor is set to face camera.) Is that what you mean by "let the filter far away from the camera"? IMG_0748 (1).JPG Also, you say there are two ways...
