Re: Noise blob cooler problem ASI294MC Pro

I just got the camera back, rechecked twice and can report that the noise blob is gone.

ZWO treated me like a company should treat a customer. Well done, 5 stars earned, one more happy customer ;-)
Thank you Katherine in special and ZWO in general! This topic is solved!

Re: Noise blob cooler problem ASI294MC Pro

Well, i cleaned and redried the chamber. I got rid of some dust, but the problem with the noise blob remains the same. Here are the results:

Cooled, after redry-process and background-extracted:

Any further ideas?

Re: Noise blob cooler problem ASI294MC Pro

Hi Katherine,

i never opened the chamber, so there should be no need to redry?

Greetings,
Michael

Noise blob cooler problem ASI294MC Pro [Solved]

Hi ZWO support, there is a strange problem with my ASI294MC Pro. Whenever i turn on the cooler, something appears after a few minutes. I call it 'the annoying noise blob'. It took me several months to hunt the problem down, but now it seems to be clear that it is related to the cooler. I set up a te...

Re: Background artifact issue

The exposure recommended was 255s at gain 120 with an Offset of 4. The drivers default to 28 and 30 (ASCOM/direct) on my laptop when clean installed. With an offset of 4 I get lovely data. Can anyone confirm Duncs settings? An offset of 4 sounds strange for me, but if it works for you, Dunc, maybe ...

Re: ASI178MC Gain/Offset Combinations

Thanks for the reply, Sam. It is good to know that the settings are a okay, but i think i have another problem. Whenever i set the brigthness setting (under "image controls") to a value just a bit higher than zero, the whole picture is getting just white. But i think this is no problem with the came...

ASI178MC Gain/Offset Combinations

Hi @ll, after more than half a year using the great ASI178MC with several combinations of Gain/Offset, i thought it would be a good idea to stick to only a few standard combinations. So after reading through many posts in several forums i'd like to discuss if these combinations do make sense or if i...

Re: ASI178MC Image Corners

Hi Chad,

thanks for the keyword "amplifier glow". After reading through several posts found via google i feel informed about that matter. I will try to add more darks to my lights.

You can consider this topic as solved.

Thank you very much,
Michael
